SQUAD UPDATES AHEAD OF BOTH NATIONS CUP TOURNAMENTS

Hockey New Zealand has confirmed several squad changes ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIH Hockey Nations Cup tournaments.

 

For the Vantage Black Sticks Men, Joe Morrison and Brad Read have been ruled out through injury and will no longer travel to Cape Town, South Africa for the FIH Hockey Men's Nations Cup.

 

James Hickson and Brad Rothwell have been called into the squad as replacements.

 

For the Vantage Black Sticks Women, Britt Wang has been ruled out through injury ahead of the FIH Hockey Women's Nations Cup in Auckland.

 

Jessie Anderson has been named as her replacement and will join the squad for the tournament.

 

Hockey New Zealand wishes Joe, Brad and Britt all the best with their recovery and looks forward to seeing James, Brad and Jessie take their opportunities on the international stage.
