NEW ZEALAND U21’S NAMED FOR UPCOMING TOURS

Hockey New Zealand is pleased to confirm the Future Black Sticks U21 Women and U21 Men squads for two key international tours in October, providing vital experience and connection as both groups build toward their respective Junior World Cups.

 

U21 Women - Akaiwa, Japan (13–25 October)

The tour includes 3 matches vs Japan U21 Women and 2 matches vs Japan Senior Women, alongside community engagements supported by the Tokyo Olympics Legacy Fund. The focus is on international exposure, growing on- and off-field connections, and sharpening our game model ahead of the Junior World Cup.

 

U21 Men - Sultan of Johor Cup, Malaysia (11–18 October)
New Zealand will compete against world-class opposition in Johor Bahru. This event is a proven preparation platform, helping players and staff fine-tune performance habits in a genuine high-performance tournament environment.
